The Townhouses - What We Knew Was Inevitable.
New intermission kinda track from the debut album that is exciting the hell outta me. 4/4 beats over a 3/4 song make my head explode so it had to be included.
Well i’m playing Bar Open next sunday if anyone feels like coming along :)
Also, El Joyero with the ever so wonderful Yeo on December 10th!
EVERYONE SHOULD COME TO BOTH OF THESE SHOWS :)
AND The Townhouses supporting the same wonderful Yeo on December 9th at the East Brunswick Clubbbb.

This album is taking directions I never expected. And I’m loving every single moment involved in creating it.

I Wish I Wrote This Song Vol. 1 - Feist.
Past in Present.
We surely all know Feist by now. She’s that amazing Canadian goddess who used to be in Broken Social Scene and now has a very successful solo career. Her performance at the 2008 Laneway Festival was unforgettable and her two albums, ‘Let it Die’ and ‘The Reminder’ are masterpieces.
The song, Past in Present, is one of the more unknown tracks off The Reminder but matches up with the bigger hits easily. It’s short and straight to the point and is recorded so well with just the right amount of ‘dirt’.
I wish I wrote this song.
The Townhouses - My Chemistry Set
For fans of early Architecture in Helsinki, Animal Collective, Yacht… I dont know… ‘summer music’.
The Townhouses - Fjord
Recorded this last week when my voice wasnt all yuck and cold-influenced. Tried to play it today in my shed and I’m pretty sure all the bugs/animals ran away :(

Friends of the Townhouses Vol. 1 - YEO.
“My Greatest Fear”.

Yeo is an amazing dude from Brisbane who now resides in Melbourne. His album is called ‘Trouble Being Yourself’ and it’s brill. The Townhouses are supporting Yeo and the Fresh Goods (his amazing band from Brisbane) at the East Brunswick Club on Wednesday the 9th of December, as well as this Friday (13th Nov) at the Birmingham in Fitzroy.
The track for steam is called ‘My Greatest Fear’, a beautiful track from his album which in my opinion should be played live more. Yeo is also one of the most modest down-to-earth person I’ve met, so go to his shows and buy his album!
Amazing show supporting Seth Rees, Matt Rosner (WA) and the Ghost of 29 Megacycles (WA). I’m gonna make a habit of posting more setlists since writing them is one of the most enjoyable things about playing shows.
